A veteran of the luxury hospitality sector with more than 27 years of transformative leadership at Marriott International, Kelly arrives at a pivotal moment as the iconic 200-acre resort expands its ultra-luxury footprint with the recent debut of The Villas at Canyon Suites.

Kelly most recently served as Managing Director of The Resort at Pelican Hill, where he orchestrated the high-profile transition of the independent property into the Marriott portfolio. Under his stewardship, the resort achieved record-breaking financial results and maintained its prestigious Forbes Five-Star status. His tenure was capped by the strategic development of The St. Regis Estates, a new ultra-exclusive brand tier set to debut at Pelican Hill in 2027.

Kelly’s appointment aligns with a broader shift in the high-end travel market toward experiential stewardship and holistic wellness. His track record includes early General Manager roles in London, where he led the opening of the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, as well as leadership at Ritz-Carlton properties in Half Moon Bay and Dove Mountain. A three-time General Manager of the Year, Kelly is uniquely suited to helm The Phoenician as it integrates cutting-edge luxury trends, including:
