Make a Splash at the Newly Redesigned Phoenician Pools

Beat the heat this spring and dive into a relaxing oasis at the newly redesigned Phoenician Pool Complex. As one of the most popular amenities at the AAA Five Diamond resort, the Phoenician Pool Complex underwent an extensive transformation during the 2017 resort renovations, improving the overall guest experience with new additions and enhancements throughout the space.

Inspired by the hues of the Sonoran Desert, the cabanas and surrounding furniture took on a different color palette, featuring a natural sand color with an array of reds and corals, replacing the former pops of banana yellow. In addition, the previous poolside eatery, Oasis Bar and Grill, was demolished and an adjacent building was constructed to host the brand-new restaurant, Kalio Kabobery. Furthermore, the existing Kids Zone received a modernized waterslide and new children’s treehouse, adding to the family-friendly offerings found at Arizona’s premier luxury resort destination.

Enjoy a casual poolside lunch or a fruity cocktail from this brand-new eatery. Located on the west side of the pool complex, this newly constructed, trendy restaurant features a contemporary design and serves Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, including a tasty fare of kabobs, salads and sandwiches. Dine at one of the designated seating areas or have your meal delivered right to your lounge chair.

One of the most significant enhancements from this transformation is the expanded seating area and increased number of lounge chairs. With 650 chaise lounges, the renovated deck boasts 200 more lounge chairs than the previous layout. On the first tier, in the middle of the pool complex, Oasis Bar and Grill was removed and the space was redesigned to become the reserved section. At the center of it all, featuring plush daybeds and cabanas, as well as breathtaking views of Camelback Mountain, guests are able to reserve their piece of paradise in this section for an additional fee. Located on the third tier, next to the iconic Mother of Pearl pool, an expanded area was constructed to also develop seating for guests, resulting in a deck extending over Necklace Lake to house additional lounge chairs and provide a relaxing, serene environment.

Children will be thrilled to explore the Kids Zone within the Phoenician Pool Complex. An existing Splash Pad allows little ones to cool off in a safe environment with playful water features and spongy flooring. In addition, a brand-new waterslide provides an exhilarating 165 feet of twists and turns for both children and adults. Finally, making a premiere at The Phoenician for the first time is a children’s treehouse, snaking through the trees and featuring wobbly bridges and lookout points.
